Problem using Logic Express 7.1 Plugins in DP 4.61???

I Just upgraded to DP 4.61 from Logic Express 7.1 and am having problems loading the Logic Express Plugins??? Any insight would be great!

You can't use them in DP. They are proprietary to Logic.

Ha! Yeah, it sucks that Apple, the developer of the AU standard and keeper of the flame, would come out with plugins that only Logic can use. Capitalism is alive and well :-)

A convoluted solution.

Do your sequencing in DP and REWIRE
the tracks to Logic Express for recording
if you need the effects plugins....and reverse from
Logic into DP for recording if you need the Virtual
Instruments in Logic Express.

unless i'm mistaken, dp won't act as a rewire slave -- only master. you'd think that the non-protools guys would want their apps to do both in order to compete with digi, but as far as i know ableton live is the only program that will act as either slave or master depending on your needs.

cycling74's "soundflower" might be worth a look, though.

That makes me extremely pissed at Apple. The AU selections they offer in OSX are actually pretty good, but the interfaces are awful. I guess they aren't that bad if you're stuck in the 70s mentality and just like the look of graphic equalizers back when "graphic" meant "a row of sliders."
