Audio Window after setup
Motu828mkII is not appearing in my audio window. It just says internal. I have everything setup right according to my audio and MIDI setup. Anyone have any advice or clues? My setup is listed below.
I have a Mac G5 dual hard drive. I am on Tiger. I am currently using a Kurzweil PC3X Synth to a motu828mkII. I am using the Dp 6 with the machfive2 sampler, waves gold bundle, and altiverb reverb unit. Studio Monitors are Mackie 824s. Rode NTK condenser mic.
I assume you have the software for the M OTU 828 installed. Also, go to the little blue apple icon upper lefthand corner of the screen and select preferences, then sound, make sure the MOTU 828 is highlighted as the device you want to use. Also, under setup in DP, go to "Configure Audio System" then "configure Hardware Driver" and make sure that the 828 is selected in the big white box.
Hope this get's you going,
Dan

And, if none of dpdan's suggestions pan out (though hopefully they will), go to the blue Apple menu on the upper-left and select "About This Mac". Then, click "More Info..."
Then, look at the Hardware section in the left pane and find "Firewire". Click that. In the pane in the upper right, you should see "FireWire Bus" and under that, the 828 (it might say something like "Firewire audio device" or something but I don't own one so don't know).
If you don't see the 828, then try replacing your Firewire cable. If that doesn't work, try a different Firewire port on your mac. If that doesn't work, then there's something wrong with the 828 and you should have it looked at.

Thanks for the help
Well guys, it is still not showing up in the window but everything is working. I just have to manually change it in the input and output windows of the tracks.
