ElCap and Yosemite Security update 2016-001

Normally I don't have much cause for concern with Security Updates, but it seem to be causing an inordinate number of problems for some:

There appear to be issues if updating from a network server. A couple seem to have an issue solved by resetting the NV RAM.

I updated 7 Macs day before yesterday without incident.

No other comments.

Update: I completed the update uneventfully I'm happy to report, but I did it through a direct download and not through the App Store. Here's the link for those interested:
