I have finally upgraded my ancient Macintosh with an iMac. Instead of downgrading my audio interface with some USB 2 x 2, I wanted to use the 424 card/2408mkII combo. Will a thunderbolt expansion chassis work? I contacted MOTU, but they are a bit non-responsive. I'm thinking of this one:

Thanks in advance.

Nope. Many threads on the subject. It cannot happen without MOTU building a new version of the 424 card. This will not happen.

Thank goodness you responded. Thank you so much...I nearly made a lot of extra work for myself. So I guess my 2408 is a rack plate from now on. Sigh. It had a good run, I guess.

PCI E expansion cards sell for a pretty penny on eBay. You might want to recoup some of your investment that way.
