original traveler and cuemix tuner

I think I remember reading somewhere in the knowledge bases at Motu that older equipment didn't support newer cuemix features. I'm assuming the cuemix tuner falls into that category.
I can't find the reference anymore, however, and just want to confirm before I give up.

Also, does anyone know how to use the tuner plugin? I can't seem to make it do anything.

No, the legacy Traveler does not support the CueMix FX features.
