Installation Failed on Yosemite!!!!

Hello,
After using DP8 on my MacPro, I decided to install it on a brand new Macbook Pro with OS 10.10 on it. After downloading the DP 8.07 full setup file from Motu, the installations fails over and over.....!!!!
The Macbook Pro is brand new with a SSD drive, could the SSD cause the problem?? or is it Yosemite?
Anyone having this problem? I was searching online but couldn't find an answer.

Probably not. Many of us have it installed on our SSDs

That's because, normally, there's no problem.

You need to walk us through your installation and the problem. Telling us it doesn't work isn't enough.

You might try putting the installer on a flash drive and installing from there. No reason. Just instinct.

Thanks, Just got the laptop yesterday, I want to use DP for a live gig so I decided to install it tonight.
The "Installation Failed" yellow triangle comes up right after I input my password.
I've repaired the permissions and also reset the Home Folder permissions (even though it's a brand new machine).
I downloaded the installation file twice (in case it was corrupted).

I fixed it.

MIDI Life Crisis, you were right, except it didn't work from a flash drive but it worked from an external USB drive……….hmmmmm!! strange!!!
Could be a permission issue in my Download folder….
