There is what I consider an annoying thing that happens on import of audio. If I import audio, say from my desktop, DP doesn't seem to be making an actual copy of the audio and importing/copying it in the Project. Instead, it is seeming to use & reference that file, so when I move/delete the file, it is gone. I don't remember DP 7 doing this. or at least .
So my question is...there must be some sort of setting for this, yes? I have looked through prefs and cannot locate it...but it must be there somewhere! Thanks!

With that option checked, DP will copy the files into its Audio folder when you import them into the session, so no matter what you do with the originals, DP will use the ones it copied.
I suppose the "Import" word refers to the feature that if you drag the files directly into the TO window, DP will create a new audio track for each file. How cool is that?
