AIR instruments (Pro Tools only) coming for AU/VST
Not a lot of fanfare about this from AIR, but their AIR instruments package, which has been
available only for Pro Tools, will be released in AU and VST format "sometime soon". I'm gonna guess early or mid-June. Finally, us DP users will have access to these VI's.
Of all their instruments, Velvet (electric piano) and Strike are the best, in my experience.
Particularly Velvet, which is hands-down the best virtual Rhodes instrument on the planet.
It's all modeled, and they totally nailed it, right down to the mechanical and cabinet noises,
tine position, pickup position, age, tremolo, and EQ.
The whole package is quite good, actually. I haven't tried the synths but I expect them to
be very high quality. AIR started out as Wizoo, and they are a bunch of very smart programmers and coders.

You might want to ask that over at one of
the Pro Tools forums. AIR instruments
are Pro Tools only...while a few of us also
use PT, the majority here don't.
