I'm having trouble linking the audio I created with DP to the Quicktime video I was provided by a film maker.
I am using DP7 on a Mac and have followed the instructions in the manual on pg 895 titled "Bouncing to a Quicktime movie"
When I completed the final step for the process described in the manual all looks good but at the last second this comes up "Mas, 1 error reported by Quicktime Export Plug in: [-2015]" Then the file doesn't work.
Does anyone know what is going on? Any help would be great.
Thanks!

Re: Adding audio to Quicktime videos
I don't know if this is standard procedure, but I have always used QuickTime Pro to paste audio into a QT movie and then save it as a self-contained movie. YMMV.

My guess would be there's something about that quicktime file DP doesn't like - have you tried bouncing to any other quicktimes? I too have sometimes just pasted the audio using Quicktime pro.

Re: Adding audio to Quicktime videos
You don't mention your system, hardware, OS or anything else that might help. I am assuming later than OS 10.5.
Do you have QT 7.6.6 installed in your Utilities folder? If not, find it and install - it's free. Do not touch QT 10.x in your Applications folder - it's required for the OS. Don't move 7.6.6 from Utilities or it won't work either.
If you have QT 7.7, trash it as it no longer works after OS 10.5.x and may prevent QT 7.6.6 from functioning.
If you purchased QT Pro 6 or 7 for the Mac, your Pro key will work with QT 7.6.6. There is no Pro version of QT 10. QT Pro for Windows and QT Pro 5 keys will not work.

Re: Adding audio to Quicktime videos
That's my standard procedure too. Adding audio using DP has never worked too well for me. It's super simple with QuickTime Pro.stubbsonic wrote:I don't know if this is standard procedure, but I have always used QuickTime Pro to paste audio into a QT movie and then save it as a self-contained movie.
