Loading Mach5

Hello!

I've upgraded to MachFive3, but most of my old projects use MachFive2. When I load an old project, an error message presents itself as "The following effects could not be found: MachFive2."

It seems I can't even select MachFive2 as an instrument; only MachFive3 is shown as an option. I do still have MachFive2 on my hard drive, and I can load it as a stand-alone player; however, I can not load it within a new (or old) DP Project. Only MachFive3 is available.

Any advice?

MachFive2 loads as a stand alone in Mavericks, so I'm assuming it should work with DP in Mavericks.

Ahhhh... A clue. Are you running DP 8 32 or 64bit?

If you are running DP 8 in 64bit, a 32bit only plugin will not load. If that's the issue, run DP 8 in 32bit and see if it works now.

Just like DP 7.24. A lot of plugs will only work in DP 8 32bit. I never owned MV2. I took a cross-grade to MV3.

The clue was that you could fire it up stand-alone. Then it hit me.

For the curious: MachFive2 only works when running DP in 32bit!
