Re: Waveforms not always drawing in 8.03

My issue (Tracks Overview waveform drawings appearing immediately after recording, then quickly disappearing, changing to a line) has improved greatly with 8.05; but there still seems to be a change: now it's like there's a single amplitude threshhold value below which the waveform display in the Tracks Overview Window only) just displays a flat line. I don't think it used to be this way. Maybe I'm mistaken- Was it always this way?

It is supposed to draw the waveform in the tracks overview window and historically has done so.

Thanks, zandurian; so you haven't noticed a change since v.8 in the waveform display drawing behavior in the Tracks Overview window, from what it's done historically? Then maybe it's something in my system configuration; but I don't remember seeing so many waveforms displayed as flat lines in my TO Window as I have seen since v.8. Less so in 8.05 than 8.04, but still that's my perception. (Maybe I'm finally learning not to red-line my recording levels, :koolaid: )

The only changes I experienced were some waveforms not drawing in a couple of projects. They are designed to always draw and have been doing so in all versions for as long as I can remember until this "take specific" weirdness happened (ie: only a couple of takes in an entire project wouldn't draw until I trashed the takes folder).

Same here. Magic Dave suggested trashing the Analysis Folder, which would force a redraw. But that was a workaround rather than an explanation...
