Interesting! Of course UAD-2 DUO won't be compatible and it's uncertain what will happen with the PCIe-424. But the price point, if this is typical for these chassis, seems to indicate MOTU could easily sell a TB to Audiowire breakout box for $299 or so. Whether they'd sell enough to make the development worth their while, who knows? But it would be awesome if they did!

James, check out this thread:
http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtop ... =9&t=56686

There's a link there to their compatibility chart, and if the chart is correct, the UAD-2 stuff is all compatible.

Really? That would be great because I saw an email floating around from UA saying only the OCTO card would be compatible with expansion chassis. That is indeed good news if true. :)

Well, time will tell. I recall getting the same e-mail. Maybe Sonnet figured it out. Or maybe they are wrong. :?

It could be that the hardware shows a system profile. That's part of the battle but without the right drivers and firmware, you don't have functionality. Sonnet does not say what "compatible" means in the real world.

Yep. There's another topic on the board were someone says it's NOT got to work with the older UAD-2 cards. :(
