Can't get EWQLSO Gold to re-activate

I've been searching for info on this issue and having no luck so far. Hopefully one of you have had this issue and can offer some enlightenment.

I had to reformat my internal hard drive (system drive). I have everything back on it up and running (as far as I can tell) except for the fact that EWQLSO Gold still shows that it is not active in DP. I have many EW libraries and they are all working again. EWQLSO shows as active in the NI service center.

I've also tried to use the registration tool which is in the EWQLSO Gold folder. This only takes me to the main NI website.

I just tried to uninstall and than reinstall from the DVD (just the app part, I left all of the sounds as they are on a different hard drive). I was able to activate it in NI service center, it shows as active but DP still says that its not. I've downloaded the most recent kontakt 3.5 update and DP 7.24 update just to be sure but still no luck.

NI's website seems to no longer contain any info on this. I just sent an email to their registration support team but for some reason I'm not optimistic as it seems like NI & EW have cut all ties and seem to ignore that people still use these products.

Any thoughts?

I can only tell you that I recently got it working. I copied the library files from my PC to a Mac. Then I downloaded the latest Kontakt free player, and I was able to authorize it using the Service Center. This was sometime last summer, using DP 8.0.4 and Mountain Lion. Not sure why it's not working for you, but FWIW, it is possible. Maybe try redownloading the latest Service Center?

thanks Babz. I already re-downloaded the most recent kontakt player just be sure and when I tried to re-download the service center they had listed for snow leopard it told me that I already had a newer version on my computer.

Hopefully NI's tech support will help but for some reason I'm not optimistic that they will since EWQL doesn't use Kontakt anymore

I GOT IT TO WORK AGAIN!!

I ended up uninstalling it a second time a reinstalling it. It appears that I missed one of the files the first time I tried to do this so that explains why I was still having the issue even after I thought I had uninstalled it and reinstalled it.

I noticed that ever since i upgraded to XP Pro, NI Service Center ceased to recognize my original Gold activation, and it's remained red ever since. Every so often when I go back into Service Center to do a bunch of updates, that always freaks me out, but everything still works just fine.
