CueMix PCI Playback question

Post by wonder »

I am using CueMix PCI to setup headphone mixes.

I'm using the Analog outputs of my 2408 to route (through CueMix) to the live room.

I've figured out how to route to my HearBack system but the issue is I can't get PlayBack from DP to go through the HearBack.

How my control room monitoring is setup is that via ADAT I set my outputs of all my tracks to send from DP to my Tascam DM24. 99% of the time just ADAT 1-2 for a 2 mix.
When I playback recorded takes, the HearBack gets none of the playback because it's input is set to ANALOG. Is there a way to setup CueMix to get a 2Mix from DP so we can do punches and what not? Or even to be able to hear click track?

Right now it's either hear it in the CueMix (Analog) OR the Control Room (ADAT)

still trying to figure this out...

normally my Hearback gets ADAT signal from my DM24 but since there's a big band coming in I need all 8 channels and DM24 isn't capable of sending 8 mixes.

Any help?

In DP, assign all of your playback tracks to a stereo buss. Create an Aux track and use the same buss as the input. Assign the output to one hardware output. Use the sends on the Aux track to send to other hardware outputs at the same time. DP has 20 sends.

So, essentially for the tracking session, the Aux track acts like a Master Fader?

Also ... is there a way to name in "inputs" in CueMix so I know which track is which and it NOT affect DP's input naming?

Tracking 24 inputs can get confusing in CueMix with just input names.
