Hello all,
Tried searching for this, but couldn't find an answer. I've got a laptop with only USB connections. Is it possible to have an 896mk3 (non hybrid) connected via the optical out to an 8pre, then connect the 8pre to the laptop USB and be able to use all 16 mic pres? Assuming it's possible, is there anything outside the manuals I should know when I hook them up?
Thanks!

Re: 893mk3 and 8pre connection question
The 8Pre when used as the interface will accept 8 digital inputs via ADAT (48kHz max). So long as you can set your inputs on the 828 to ADAT Out. 1 input pair panned hard left & right per mix bus assigned to an ADAT Output pair.
