DP8 insert settings
When trying to save a channels insert settings, we follow our normal protocol of clicking the insert settings button and selecting "Save Insert Settings". It appears to have worked properly. However, when we try to reload, the newly saved setting cannot be found in the pull down list. Neither can the file be found by doing a Finder search. We had normal folders for storage and retrieval in the normal DP lib/appl support/motu/dp/insert settings presets. (which is what the DP8 manual says is the path. We can recall all our old DP7 inserts, but cant store or recall to our folders. (ie: vocs/reverbs etc)
Anyone please confirm on their rigs?

I'm not seeing that same problem. (DP 8, 10.8.2).labman wrote:When trying to save a channels insert settings, we follow our normal protocol of clicking the insert settings button and selecting "Save Insert Settings". Perhaps you should look @ the permission settings on your pre-set folder. Go to the pre-sets menu (upper left in plug window) and select 'Reveal in...' and check that the permissions on that folder make sense. While you are there, check which folder DP is looking for. In the past, tho I can't prove it (could be user error) I swear DP has lost my pre-sets folder, and I had to go looking for it again.
Cheers,

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.

Re: DP8 insert settings
Are you crossing track-types? The inserts you save for an Aux track will not apply to an audio track, and vice-versa. Seems unnecessary for it to work that way, but that's how it works.
As long as I try to load the right strip with the right kind of track, it's working perfectly for me.

Re: DP8 insert settings
You're right, it does seem unnecessary, and I hope MOTU changes it. What I do now is copy saved Insert Settings from the Audio folder to the Aux folder, or vice versa, so they're available to either. It's no big deal, but I don't feel it should be that way.Shooshie wrote: ... The inserts you save for an Aux track will not apply to an audio track, and vice-versa. If you put them in the Common folder, they're available for all track types.
