OK, so I've started singing again...... lot's of reasons for this, the 2 main ones being that it's cheaper and I tend to interprete my own songs better than others do most of the time. I've also recently found out that ones singing can improve with practice - hey, what a concept!

multitraking vocals.
i have always liked huge vocal production.
i will do things like gtting a singer to sing the same line in a coule of diferent voices. normal 2x up front, second voice mixed so it is just barly noticable. and bunch of funny voices , accents, charecters. jeneraly if myself and the singer start laughing out of control i have something i can use. lol.
all the funny stuf gets used in parts to add color. a choral kind of sound.
other than that i dont realy like to go to nuts on vocal fx`s.
verb, ddl`s.
the room you track vocals in makes a huge diferance as well.
i like what was done on david bowies ziggy stardust.
big room, 2 mics. one close one far, gate on second.
when the singer realy opens up, the second mic picks up the room.
