Thanks again folks for the suggestions. After reviewing what I have (VST vs AU) I decided 32 Lives was the way to go. From credit card ($69) to up-and-running in about 10 minutes. Everything just works. It's pretty amazing when you think about it. 64 bit woohoo! I ain't looking back.

Got an email this morning from 32 Lives saying that they MAY support Snow Leopard in the future, but for now their priority is making sure everything works smoothly in ML.

That's understandable. :) Will be nice of they can somehow manage to support SL. :)

I'm absolutely amazed that the original InspectorXL from Elemental is still working with DP8.05 (64bit)/OS 10.9 with 32 Lives. Those guys must have written some real clean code.

Are you serious? That's unbelievable and awesome news for me because I love that software so much. Actually, I updated to the RND version, but my guess is that it would work, too.

I have the RND version and I believe there were VSTs for those plugs, because I recall getting it to work with JBridgeM also. I don't use it much now because I got the Blue Cat audio meters.

I had to check because I couldn't remember. You are right; options include AU, VST, and RTAS.

I also received an email from them that said they MAY, but it did not make me hopeful:
Making 32 Lives compatible with Snow Leopard will require a significant rewrite of the application because we use a cutting technology which requires 10.7 or higher to run. Although it may happen some time, considering Logic X requires OS X 10.8 or higher, it is currently not on our top priority list.
Welcome to being a DP user. Get used to having what Logic requires determine your fate. LOL Same with plugs-ins over the years when you would hear "Well, it works in Logic..." If I were a betting man... I'd say 32 Lives on Snow Leopard is never going to happen.

Oh... and let me just say for the record: do I blame them? No. Not sure what the "cutting edge technology" is... perhaps some API not available in Snow Leopard. Anyway I wouldn't count on it. Obviously at some point I'll have to save a partition for SL for certain things perhaps and get more current. I'm just always uncomfortable whenever I feel like Logic is "used against me." :(

VST and Britain? Bidule rained. As scissors, but must be done. It is the most useful functions and features Gaul and application notes. As an independent router design, routing analysis tools voltage taps luxury.

I was lucky, and ... I've read on your site, you are confused. JBridgeM but JBridgeM VSTS. Oh yes ... The read. :)

Intelligent technology MLC (horror) Wait. :) You can send an email to Google Group 3:00 Foop tumors.

James, are JBridgeM VSTS free? I hope so.

Umm... where is the "scratching head" emoticon when you need it?

Umm... JbridgeM (M for Mac, they make a Windows version) has a free demo, but the app itself is inexpensive for what it does). Your VSTs themselves are whatever you paid for the plug. It works with most but not all.
