Alternate Key Commands... Where?
Recent Pro Tools convert... and although DP Manual (4.5.) says "you can import key commands from other popular DAW's" and "check the Motu web site for key command updates" they don't seem to exist anywhere. Not on the "DP Extras" (disc 2), not on Motu web site, I have searched this forum etc etc etc etc.
Any suggestions. DO they really exist or is it like many other things in the DP manual, it tells you CAN do something, but it doesn't always tell you HOW to do it.
Thanks for any help you DP veterans can provide!

Re: Alternate Key Commands... Where?
Hello, I've never used that function but if you go to setup menu > command. Then in the mini menu of that window there is a import key binding function.
I did not try myself but you should be able to import a PT key binding.
You'll need to have PT to generate that Key binding thing.
Give it a try a let me know if that works
Hope that helps

Re: Alternate Key Commands... Where?
They used to include some from Logic, Cubase, Vision, and PT, with 3.xx in OS 9. I can send you those if you want. They'll import into DP4, but I don't know how current they'd be. I could also check on exporting them from my PT 6/OS X rig.
Or you could type them all in manually!
Hit Shift+L to open Key Commands.

Re: Alternate Key Commands... Where?
Hi Tim and Grigri...
thanks for the suggestions, I will try the pro tools import thing but PT does not actually have key Binding files, they are just part of the SW program for all i know... but I will check.
Tim, if you have key binding files from OS9 that would be great I will give them a try as I know that the PT bindings have not changed at all in a few years. You can email them to me at james at inrealtimedotcom.
It is a little frustrating that the 4.5 manual sends you to the MOTU web site but they don't exist there! Not that I can find.
BTW, from a seasoned PT user's perspective, DP is pretty damn cool! A little non-intuitive on the payback navigation, but it may just be what I am used to. So far so good, other than the 4.5 bugs, afraid to go for 4.52, using stylus, it kernel panicked my machine, and I had to reinstall everything from the 4.5 discs.
Cheers.

looking for Pro Tools command focus key bindings too
Hi,
sorry for bringing up an old post.
I'm quite a new DP user, but long time Pro Tools user too. It would be great if I can have the keybindings for Pro Tools in DP (4.6) too.
is there a web page that have such bindings for download?
Thanks & Regards,
[Charles]
