Using Cuemix Reverb and FX in a DAW

Post by jackasspenguin »

I want to use the built in reverb in the 896mk3 to send my audio tracks to...not just the analog inputs but also soft synths. Is this possible? I really don't understand how to use this thing. I don't know how to route these signals or use the buss sends. If anyone knows of any good tutorials on the Cuemix or can shed some light on this I'd be very, very grateful. :D

Yes you can use the MOTU as an effect. Use the CueMix app, not the frontpanel. In there, you'll notice it looks like a mixer. Take a look at the manual or YouTube for how to use it. You can turn the reverb on for a bus, and from your DAW send whatever to that bus. You should have seen that reverb appears as an IO in your DAW--use that as the send and return.
