Hi all,
The preview function (apple key-spacebar) has mysteriously stopped working properly in DP8.04 for me.
Whereas in all my previous versions of DP (up to and including 7.24) this would preview the entire audio clip / MIDI region, it now only plays what sounds like the first half-second of either audio or MIDI and then cuts out. Has anyone else had this?
Many thanks in advance.
Jon

I think it switched to Option-Spacebar a long time ago. Check (search in) your DP Key Command window (Shift-L).

... it changed about the time Apple assigned Cmd-Space to Spotlight.

Many thanks for replies.
I've got the spotlight command-spacebar key command disabled, and according to the DP commands menu 'command-spacebar' should preview the clip / file (as it always has done perfectly till now). And there's no DP key-command conflict alert.
The issue isn't that it doesn't work at all, but rather that it just plays the first half-second of either the audio clip or MIDI phrase. 'Option-spacebar' starts the sequence from the start of the selected clip - what I seem to have lost is the ability to preview clips.

Check you Commands window and make sure it doesn't reassign the command. Opt-Spacebar plays selection and has done so for a while now. Cmd-Spacebaar doesn't do anything on my machine.
You might also check the Mac shortcut (system preferences) and if you;re running something like KeyRemap or PC Keyboard Hack or 3rd party driver. Are you using a standard Mac keyboard or a purchased one? I use a Logitech solar powered model and the function keys don't always work as they do on my Mac keyboards.
