Host automation

Post by swpowe »

Hello all. I'm trying to figure out how to get host automation to work with Kontakt and DP. I've searched around and the only things I can find are references to older versions of both DP and Kontakt and threads saying it doesn't work. Has this been fixed? MIDI CC is working but I often like to use host automation instead.

Do you mean moving parameters in Kontakt and recording the moves in DP?

yes. That's exactly what I mean. Kontakt has the automation pane that shows MIDI CC as well as host automation. I'm wondering how I record the host automation. Some of the libraries I use come with host automation already assigned and I'd like to use those parameters instead of MIDI CC messages. Is this possible in DP?

thanks for the reply!

Did you try hitting the rec automation button on the insument channel and moving the parameter?
