MOTU track 16 is very hot

Hi

i ve just received this morning my track 16 and i'm surprised that the whole surface is very hot even if it is unplugged from computer and just powered on with the external power

anyone knows if it is normal ?

Yep. It seems to vary with the OS but that's anecdotal. I never run it off of bus power. Performance is much better self powered. Be sure to check the firmware and drivers are up to date.
