just wondering if the preamp on the ultralite is good enough to run a SE ribbon mike R1 ?

Good enough for someone with Bill Gates' money, good enough for someone poor...?...my point is obvious. 
I am not overly-knowledgeable in this area, but it is my understanding that MOTU does well in regards to preamps on their units. I do think they vary model by model as per all that science ••••, but in my opinion, you aren't going to go wrong.
I like the sound I get very much after some minor eqing, with a SM57 on my Traveler. Different mic type and all...just saying.
