One of the nice things about having friends is that you can be yourself without fear of critique.

You have friends here and we'd love to have you back. You don't need confidence for dropping by. Just let Nicky be himself :)

Either way, I hope your life becomes at least a little better and I send you a hug, my friend.

Bayswater, thank you for posting Nicky's update.

Nicky, despite whatever trials and tribulations you go through, you always exhibit optimism and humor. I personally find that both inspiring and humbling. I do believe that things can and do get better, and will for you. Take good care of yourself mate, I sincerely hope to see you around here soon.

Sorry you don't feel up to posting, Nicky, but thank you for at least letting us know you're alive. We were worried about our simian fellow hominid.

Hey Nicky... we miss you. Does anybody know his email address for PayPal? I'm truly worried about him and even though things are very tight for me right now, I could send him a few bucks. Not much, but if a bunch of us sent just a little it could help.

A second missive from Nicky:
------------------------
@ James & the boys (and Trish!):
James, I cannot describe the respect I have for you; the kindness of your offer is truly overwhelming.
Guys, I promise I'll be back soon; I'm just too much on the edge right now and am aware that although catching up with you all will be incredibly exciting (for me at least), the downside / hangover that'll follow, at least for now, is something I'm not quite up to yet. You have my word I intend, as I always have, to make a permanent "comeback"... soon. Thank you all again for being so wonderfully... you!

The quote above regarding James implies I'd be happy to accept his offer, which is not true. In fact, the following appeared immediately after it and provides critical context, but was omitted inadvertently:

Yes, I saw James' (bless his heart) suggestion / proposition to assist me, but I simply cannot allow it. He and all you guys have given me so much already and I'm so much the richer for it that it would be sacrilegious from my point of view to accept any monetary love.

Thank you, Baysey for updating mah 'Cornie Brothas for lil' ol' me. This fellas a gem, folks.

Putting the 'Nation to bed for a while; I'm certainly not ready to post yet as is confirmed to me right now. All I can and must say is the usual - I love you guys; you are the best mankind has to offer and I'm honoured to know you.
Nicky

Nonsense. You're posting right now and everyone is glad to hear from you. The best way to get back on your feet is to get back on your feet. I'm not saying knock yourself out, but a little involvement with like minds might do you some good, so post now and then. It's therapeutic, trust me. 8)

Rubbish! What nonsense, Phil-O-Sopher! You're speaking out of the middle part of your name again; I can tell by the refluxion... reflection... inflexion... oh poOo... hang on... that's it!! It's the Big O you're enema... emanating... emitting those gases from!

 Fairdinkum, some fellas just have no idea what they're talking about. Geez.

The free Gran Turismo 6 downloadable demo will be out next month, with the main release to be squeezed into the PS3 circa November, if anyone's interested. The physics engine has been completely remodelled from real race-data feedback and in collaboration with industry tyre and part manufacturers; it'll be the most realistic simulator ever, no doubt.

Great to see you, Dolfie (Phil-a-dolf-here, Phil-a-dolf-there, Phil-a-dolf-every-bloody-where...)
