Bsod with ultralite

Post by Eladla »

Hi,
I'm new to the forum so, Hello to everyone!
I'm also a first time motu interface owner, and I must admit my experience is not a good one up to this point.
As soon as I took the interface out of the box I went to the motu site to get the latest drivers. I installed the drivers and rebooted the system. Then I turned on the ultralite, so that it gets detected when windows loads. Before windows had a chance to load I get a bsod.
I turned off the unit and rebooted windows. This time it loaded. I removed the newer drivers and installed the drivers on the supplied cd. I went through the restart thing again and this time the system booted.
I played around with the interface a little and then turned on my novation 49sl MIDI keyboard. As soon. As I turned it on, I got a bsod. Then I turned off the motu and the computer booted up again. Now, As soon as I turn the motu on, I get a bsod and the system will not boot with the motu turned on or with both the novation and motu on. I have no idea what to do now.

Can anyone help me out? I'm lost :banghead:

You can post the crash dumps so I could have a look. They're at C:\Windows\Minidump. Copy/paste them to another folder then zip or rar them. Upload to a host and post a link.

Other than that, update the USB 3.0 driver and firmware from the manufacturer of the motherboard (or chipset). If that still doesn't help, make sure you only use a 2.0 port. If you don't have any of those, uninstall the 3.0 driver to make the port work as 2.0 until Intel, MOTU, or some other company fixes it.

But ya, let's see the crash dumps...

(If you're using Firewire, change the IEEE 1394 driver to the one with "Legacy" in its name that's already on the system.)
