Accidentally deleted guitar insert settings

I accidentally hit "delete insert settings" instead of "clear insert settings" on a couple of twangy guitar fx chains before realizing what I'd done. (And yes, I misinterpreted what the "cannot be undone" warning meant. Not enough sleep.)

Is there a way to get these two insert chains back? There's an option to "restore last insert settings" - which I've done - but I can't find the Twangy Guitar insert folder to save it to. And that still leaves the other deleted chain unaccounted for. Darn, I wish they didn't put "delete insert settings" at the top of the list, since it's probably the last thing you'd want to do.

Anyone have a suggestion, other than get some sleep?

And regardless of the warning have you checked the undo history anyway? Also could the setting be on a Time Machine backup? That is exactly where time machine shines.

I find I am frequently travelling back in time now I have a Time Machine. Its mostly useful ironically for the small stuff that you accidentally erase or screw up. I know it is meant to be for the big stuff like systems and apps - but it's the small stuff we screw up where it is really great.

I've used time machine just once for a major move from SL to ML and it was great. Most often I use it to retrieve a FW or project that was either archived or deleted. Sometimes just a plist that has gone south or an app that the update is worse than the new version. The really nice thing is you're only an hour away at most if you keep it running. I have two, 2TB time machine internal drives going all the time and have never been more confident when I sit down to work that whatever screw up happens, I can still stay on track.

That's really true. It's SO easy to replace something with Time Machine, that I often find it easier to use Time Machine than to go back and fix something. We tend to associate "system backups" with massive transfers of information, hours spent figuring out how to do it, where to put it, and all of that. Time Machine took something that used to be a dread and made it so simple that you don't think twice about using it. It's significant that we can say "nothing is too small for Time Machine."
