I hope someone can help, these 2 issues are driving me mad! I don't know if they're Machfive specific or not..
-DEFAULT LOOPING ON IMPORT ISSUE-
I've just bought Machfive 3 and I'm importing all my user sounds to create new programs with Machfive. Problem is, many of the samples I'm loading (drums etc) map with loop settings on. So if I drag a bunch of kick drums in, they loop constantly. I have to click each sample and remove the loop. The drum sounds I'm importing don't have any loop properties so what's going on here? Strangely, not all samples are affected which makes me even more confused!
-MIDI LEARN NOT REACHING MACHFIVE ISSUE-
I'm trying to use my MIDI controller to control parameters in Machfive. I can get it to work in standalone (ie click MIDI learn, move knob etc) but it doesn't seem to work within my DAW in plug-in mode. MIDI learn works with everything else in my DAW (plug-in FX, mixer etc) but it's almost like MACHFIVE is blocked from receiving MIDI controller messages. I've checked that the MIDI input to the Machfive channel is correct (which it is). I only have one thing connected as a MIDI input anyway...
Can anyone help? Has anyone else run into either of these problems??
The DAW I'm using is StudioOne if that helps.

For your first issue I'm pretty sure you can kill all those loops with one command using MF's batch feature. Look for this in the manual.
About the second one, which DAW are you using? With DP (of course) it works flawlessly here. Make sure you don't have some kind of MIDI filter active in your DAW.
Also, are you sure you are sending the matching MIDI CC to MF from your controller? Perhaps your DAW has a facility to snitch outgoing and incoming CCs, so you can be sure?

Thanks for the reply. I'm using Presonus Studio One as my DAW.
I'm 100% sure that there is nothing filtering the MIDI messages as all is well when controlling all other areas of my DAW. There aren't any options regarding MIDI and virtual instruments specifically either. As for sending matching CC's, isn't MIDI learn supposed to pick up ANY CC received? I assigned controllers 7 & 10 just to make sure but M5 failed to respond to neither. StudioONE has a MIDI input monitor and all incoming CC's show up as expected. Maybe it's not possible in 3rd party DAWS to assign MIDI learn to Machfive? As I said, in standalone mode all is well...
As for your suggestion regarding the loop issue, thanks! I'll check out the batch settings on offer and report back.
