A little bit of praise...

Post by DPINCGK »

Hello, everyone. I know there are a lot of posts that are identifying problems or challenges with MachFive but I just wanted to relate a positive experience.

MachFive v3 saved my butt today. I had to WRITE, record, produce and mix a 30 second tune in under 4 hours. Some of you might be able to do that no problem, but to final production broadcast quality mix, this is challenging for me.

Because of MachFive I was able to load up some patches from the MachFive 2 and 3 libraries and also some old patches from some old libraries for hardware samplers (example: Emulator). For the particular song I was working on this really made the difference between either going forward with or canceling a scheduled, down-to-the-wire recording session with expensive talent. I use Kontakt often but I have come to appreciate MachFive as a really great tool on it's own. Kudos to MOTU. Please continue to enhance this great tool.

+1

MachFive has a couple of very improvable things, but overall it's an amazing sampler. Very intuitive and powerful. I like it so much more than Kontakt so far.
