828 mk3 and 24 i/o

Post by recordingroom2013 »

hi guys, just wondered is it possible to use both an 828 mk3 (firewire) and a 24 i/o in DP8 on windows 7?

thanks in advance!

Each uses a different driver for interacting with the system. The one is motufwa.sys (or perhaps motufwa64.sys or similar on 64 bit system) - and the other is audiowire driver and the card driver, with different names that I can't recall at the moment.

So to answer your question, I can't say factually, but it should all work well with each separate driver installed for each (even if it's the same installer package that installs simultaneously for both.)

hi thx for replying :) thats what i was hoping like when i use my 828mk3 and the onboard sound. Basically what i want to do is use the 828mk3 for sending and returning through outboard gear, compressors,eq's etc and keep the 24 i/o for recording drums, guitars, vocals through. thanks for the reply :)
