How do I go back to 8.0?
I'm not comfortable with DP 8.02 and I would like to go back to 8.0. It worked just about flawlessly for me since it was released. I never used 8.01 because I heard of some problems early on that I wanted to stay away from, and like I said, 8.0 just worked for me.
When I installed DP 8.02 it installed over 8.0. Hmm. So what do I have to do to get back to 8.0 with my 8.0 preferences intact? I do use Time Machine.
Thanks for any advice.

Re: How do I go back to 8.0?
I suggest to uninstall DP 8.02 and do a reinstall of DP 8.0
Before you upgrade next time to DP 8.01 or higher, make a copy of the DP8.0 program icon in the Application folder and rename it to DP 8.0 or something else than just "DP8" cuz DP8 will be overwritten by the update. That way you can always go back to your copied icon.

Another way (I think) is to drag a copy to a drive other than your primary drive. I'm not sure if there is any way to go back to your 8.0 preferences, etc., however.

Unfortunately, I messed this up all sorts of ways. What a putz.

I threw out the DP 8.0 DMG about a month ago, thinking I could always download it from MOTU. But now it's not available on MOTU's site.

Now I'll wait and see what 8.03 has to offer.
Thanks again.

Re: How do I go back to 8.0?
Wouldn't the X.0 releases be a paid upgrade? If so, that's probably why they aren't available for a free download.
I bet if you called MOTU, they could accommodate you in some manner.
Just my thoughts!

Yes DP8.0 is a paid BOXED upgrade that was never made available from their download section.
