Recording 8 mic tracks on Ultralite MKIII

Post by cypran »

Hi, I'm totally new to this forum and to my brand new Ultralite MKIII.
So apologize in advance if I'm creating a topic which has already been covered or it should stay in another area..

I would love to record 8 mic tracks with my Ultralite MKIII.
I know I can use the 2 mic pres, but what about the other 6? How can I route those right signals to my DAW? Do I need to buy a 6-channels Mic Preamp? Any advices?

Thank you in advance for helping a newbie. :D

Yes, for additional microphones you will need 6 extra mic preamps to make this work as the other inputs of the Ultralite are line inputs and the signal should be line leveled with TRS plugs.

Another alternative is an extra mixer with 6 preamps with insert sends where you can tap the signal to the line ins of the Ultralite.
