How to set-up initial tempo when using Conductors track

Post by neomatt »

I just bought a new Mac and DP so I'm right off the turnip truck. I often use tempo changes which have to be done in the conductors track, but nowhere in the manual does it say how to change the initial tempo from the default 120 bpm. When using the conductors track, the tempo field above the metronome is disabled. Any suggestions?
Don't worry about being different. Just be really good and that will be different enough.

Open an event list for the conductor track and change the tempo value at measure 1 beat 1 by double clicking it.

Or does he want to set the DEFAULT to a different value?

Of course, that is of limited value since all music starts at 120 BPM. :)

You can seet the default to something else.Create the tempo you want to be the default and save the file as a template. Youcan save it as your default template or you can load that template when you need that tempo. But its not a big deal to set a new tempo and I doubt you will want ever sequence to be the same tempo every time.Maybe you do?

CMD-J will delte measures from selected track regions and from all tracks if they are all selected. That has worked since ver 2.x or 3.x and is called "snip." If that is not working, you need to call tech support.

Hmmm, that's an angle I hadn't considered. Oh, the suspense... :D
