Can anyone tell me the speed of PCI. Apparently USB 2 is 480 Mbit/s and Firewire wire 400 is obviously 400 Mbit/s, so how does PCI compare with this? I've searched the web but to no avail!
Thanks,
Paul.

Re: PCI Speed
Faster. How much depends on which flavor of PCI you are taking about. Think Thunderbolt, and remember PCIe is faster than that.
BTW, this was the first
URL listed when I googled "PCIe Speed":
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express
Wiki has all you probably need to know, including this: "As a point of reference, a PCI-X (133 MHz 64-bit) device and PCIe device at 4-lanes (×4), Gen1 speed have roughly the same peak transfer rate in a single-direction: 1064 MB/sec." Note that is MB, not Mb.
