DP 7.24 interface problems with Flux plugins

Post by outofhand »

I recently bought the Flux Recording Pack and have noticed that the plugins have some interface/GUI problems with DP 7.24.

Here's what I've got:

- All the Flux compressor/expander plugins (Pure Compressor, Pure Expander etc etc) insist on a stereo signal as an external sidechain input. They can't accept a mono signal as an external sidechain, even if the plugin is a mono instance on a mono track. It's like the plugins can't actually see any mono bus in DP.

- All the Flux compressor/expander plugins have external sidechain enabled by default. This means that whenever you load the Pure Compressor for example, you always have to turn the external sidechain off before it will actually start working as normal.

- The Epure EQ's entire GUI is sluggish, slow to respond to anything. Whenever you move any knob or click any button, it takes up to a second to register the change.
Grab any knob with the mouse and move it - the knob waits unmoving for a second, and then suddenly jumps to follow the mouse movement. ie. all the knobs are "sticky".

None of these issues stop the plugins from working, but they are pretty annoying.

The plugins work totally fine in Logic - the issues only occur in DP 7.24.

I have reported to Flux, but I am not seeing anyone else complaining on this forum so am wondering if this might just be my setup:

- MacBook Pro (2006), Intel Core Duo 2.16 GHz, 2GB RAM
- Mac OS 10.6.8
- Digital Performer 7.24, Logic 9.1.7, Wave Editor, MaxMSP 5.1.9.
- Flux Recording Pack v2.4.8, Waves, Altiverb 6.3.5, Fabfilter Pro-C, some free Voxengo plugins.

Anybody else out there seeing these issues with Flux plugins?

I had a validation problem with Pure Limiter in DP8 32 Bit mode, but oddly it bridges with JBridge and I'm now in 64 bit. Not sure this helps, but the latest AU build from Flux does seem unstable.
MacPro 2011 *upgraded* 12 Core 3.33. 64 Gigs RAM. 2x PCIe SSDs, 2x SATA SSDS - OS 10.10.5, DP9.02, VEP5 + VEP5 Slave PC (i7)

I contacted MOTU and they basically confirmed this is a problem with the Flux audio units.

I might try and ask Flux for access to the previous AU build version.....

Is there anyone out there on DP 7 using Flux stuff who is *not* having any problems?
