Oh, I understand completely. And you have to do what's best for you, no doubt, not rely on what some wahoo on the internet says.

I did read some news (gossip) about the master developer leaving. That doesn't affect these bundles since the work has already been done. I've always wanted the PCM bundle because of the legendary units and sound they emulate. And since it's 64-bit, it should be good for a couple of months, right?

Heck, I'll probably get the Exponential Audio debut plug, too. But not this year! I'm done! No more!!! :surrender:

2 of the participants are the developers of Exponential(Michael) and Bricasti (Casey) & the 3rd is Vahalla(Sean) who refers to Michael as a mentor, who actually wrote all of these Lexicon plugs.
These guys are not your typical forum lurkers talking out their wahoos! ;-)
Relax the release has been pushed back to early 2013,we have time to save up more $$

And yeah the Lexicons are here they're a bargain now,I'm sure they're awesome and I actually might still get the LXP package if I have an impulsive moment but this new company looks pretty intriguing to me. ;-)

Typical musician....saying to self.....deep in his mind somewhere, full of self delusion...

“Ok, if I could just get my girlfriend to be ok with me NOT getting her an ipad for Xmas, and I smile really big, and also convince her that I really WAS broke when I didn;t buy her that Xmas dress...well,....she’ll only hate me for like..oh, I dunno, 3 months.
And, the reverb will keep me warm at night right”.......
“No, the reverb in digital....DAMN!!!!!.......wait...hmm..I have a better idea, after the reverb, ..MORE tube gear, yeah, thats it!! Tubes are warm!!!!"

I'd rather not buy now if I know Lexicon has lowered the msrp and purchase at a later date after I recover from all of the Holiday sales.
Thanks
Just to get the real perspective on this, look at the "price drop" here:

http://www.lexiconpro.com/en-US/product ... -in-bundle

Lexicon dropped it from $1900 to just under $1600. I don't know if that's permanent or a Christmas special, but it doesn't matter because..

I just purchased it yesterday for $389, because of Dan's excellent heads-up!

I always wanted this, bad, from the time it first came out. But I couldn't (and still couldn't) justify $2k for reverb plugins in my budget, when I already have several nice ones. For me, it was a no-brainer. And, it's 64 bit.

I keep hearing that UA's 224 is the best of these so I'm curious how the Lexicon soft reverbs compare.
I know it's very subjective but I'm curious about actual user comments.
I have the UAD Lex 224 and I can tell you that it is absolutely spot on, to the way I remember the 224 hardware sounding, way back in the day.. it's profoundly good, actually.

Remember, the 224 was one of the first serious digital reverbs that came out, circa 1979-1980. It has a signature sound that has not ever been duplicated correctly as a plugin until UAD, AFAIK. When I first heard the soundtrack to Bladerunner, where Vangelis had 2 of those units, running 10 - 15 seconds (!) of reverb tails, my heart practically stopped. They were in most of the studios I recorded in during the 80's, and I always thought "someday."

I don't know if this bundle has much to do with that sound or not, as opposed to the later units, like the 300 and 480L, which seems to be the sound everybody is after.. all I know is, you can't beat this deal with a stick.

Looking @ the Lexicon website,I noticed the PCM and LPX bundles say they are compatible through 10.6, which is the OS,I'm using(10.68).
I'm curious do these work with 10.8 MountainLion?

I can't afford or justify the PCM bundle, does anyone here think I'd be giving up much or making a bad choice going with the LPX bundle for $130?

Dan Worley wrote:Lexicon has drastically dropped the prices of their plug-in bundles to where us mere mortals can actually afford them, and dealers are running with it. For instance, right now, http://plugindiscounts.com is offering the Lexicon PCM Native Reverb Bundle for $389 to MVP members, and it's very simple to become a MVP member. Other dealers have similar specials.
What am I missing here? I don't see any Lexicon products on this site, just a Relab 480 Lite version.

Has anyone considered the TOTAL Bundle instead of the Native reverb bundle? If so, how much is the total bundle?

Think it was six hundred and something.

OK thanks!
Wish I hadn't just purchased the 224 from UA about a month ago...

I just got off the phone with a great tech support rep @ Lexicon ;-)

He confirmed these are permanent price reductions & 10.8 compatibility.

Funny enough when I tried to ask delicately if Michael Carnes new company was a reason for the price reduction,he didn't know about Mr.Carnes new venture but he got so excited, talking about this Guru of Reverbs!
He mentioned emphatically a few times he needed to contact Michael who he referred to as a genius repeatedly,so he could get NFR copies of his new products.
I mentioned I was thinking about getting something like the LPX or PCM bundle and add Exponentials new R2 at some point and he emphatically stated the R2 sounded like it would be similar to the PCM and a possible game changer!
He sounded more stoked about this new product line than me! lol
I'm thinking I might get the LPX now and the R2 later........
