The FaderPort works in DP 8 64 bit, but it's not the same as before with it's own native driver. Now, it works in Mackie HUI mode. It's not as slick, but at least it's there.

Not sure about Mountain Lion since I'm still in 10.6.8.

Cheers.

Just a heads up....I spoke with PreSonus pre-sales yesterday and at first they said that it would work with DP8 because he was reading off of his "sheet" (DP4 and above), but when I pressed him on it, he put me on hold and talked to tech...they are in the testing phase with DP8 and it isn't working yet. He then said he was going to change the website to state that it currently doesn't work with 8.

Before anyone jumps ship and buys the FaderPort.

James, I'm in your camp. I want the AT to work, so I'll keep bugging them and see if there is going to be a fix...I like the petition idea, btw.

Sent this to Frontier:

Not a problem... yet... but do you think 64 bit drivers for DP could be on the horizon? I love AlphaTrack, and the 64-bit "fiscal cliff" is approaching rapidly.

Thanks!

Yeah but it always gets “lost” after getting it to a track and I end up moving the wrong fader which sucks.
Is there ANY hardware controller available in the whole world for DP 8?
This really sucks.
How many years have we all begged MOTU to make a control surface? Maybe once they get through with 64 bit they will think about it?
I will bug them and beg them at NAMM..lol...
They seem to really like making money of of little hardware gadgets and gizmos and interfaces, I am really surprised MOTU or some other co. has not jumped on this. It is really needed, there are tens of thousands of musicians mixing in the box.
Ipads just don’t cut it.
I guess no company thinks theres any money in this, which is weird.
For if a company THOUGHT there was money in this, they’d make it.
Yet here we all go, mousing around like blind mice trying to mix..good gawd! :banghead:

Have you some experience with Icon Qcon Lite ?

http://www.musik-schmidt.de/gb-Icon-Qcon-Lite.html

I do not see any review with DP8.

Okay, I'm going to encourage everyone to go to Frontier Design's contact page ( http://www.frontierdesign.com/Company/Contact ) and drop them a note questioning whether the AT drivers will be updated to be compatible with DP8 64bit.

Maybe if we bug them enough, we can at least get an answer...that's all I'm looking for before I bail on the AT.

It looks a bit cheap but if it works, great! Let us know if you find out it works in DP 64 bit.
