8.01 Copy and paste plugin settings, confirmed issue

Post by toodamnhip »

I have just confirmed with MOTU that the inability of DP 8.01 to copy and paste plug in settings INSIDE a plug in, is a known issue and that they are working on a fix for this.
(For ex. , copying the EQ curve from verse one to verse two). NOT, copying an entire plug in in the mixer channel.
I also learned that there isn;t anything under the hood to uninstall in 8.01 and that all changes from DP 8.0 to 8.01 are contained in the app itself.
This means that if you need to copy and paste plug ins or are having any other issues with 8.01, you can keep BOTH DP 8.0 and 8.01 and run them as needed, as long as they are kept in separate folders so that the 8.01 install doesn’t erase 8.0.
For example, I need to copy and paste in open plug in windows when I mix so I will mix in 8.0 and do most of my other work in 8.01
