 I would like Full plug-in latency compensation on AUX tracks.
When doing paralell bus work, there can be phasing problems between the direct out of the audio tracks and the AUX send bussed signal with inserted plug-ins on the AUX master.

This seem to be a problem in most DAWs as the AUX is not inserted on the audio track itself and that makes it hard for the DAW to know how to compensate for the inserted plug-ins on the AUX master bus.

So I wish MOTU could find a way to fix this. :)

Maybe an indicator how many samples tracks are latency compensated for on every track? (As seen in PT) and/or a plug-in to insert these kind of values on the AUX track?

And add to that Time/latency compensation for send and returns on inserts OTB to outboard like FX and compressors looped back to DP.

BTW, I could do without the trombone solo. LOL!
According to Al Kooper, he played it on a French horn. He also played piano and organ on that track as Nicky Hopkins was unavailable.

Anyway, back to topic, I'd like the input monitoring bug I found fixed.

I would like this too. Very important things for the kind of work I do with DP.

yes the latency compensation would be nice!

I'd also like the option to drag plug-ins around within the plug-in window, placing those I use most at the very top of the menu (or even the ability to hide some)

an added button on the transport to go to the end of the last recorded track (helpful for initial editing before markers are all placed)

You can easily do that by selecting the recorded soundbite and pressing control + E (control + S goes to the ... Start).

presets? maybe some could be posted up here on unicornation? I might have some proverb ones I made....

DP is often touted for flexibility... I'd like it to be flexible in allowing me to reorganise the right click menu's

for me as a pro user - copy paste merge are programmed into my left hand  right hand on "mouse" ( wacom but I digress ) - thats way faster for me than right clicking to achieve..

much prefer to have simple things done..

ie choosing edit layer ( for automation ) would be way better for me at the top for me - it might just be an inch off the top of the list- but for me thats about a mile of mousing a working day... ( actually short cut keys to each layer or at least the volume layer would be even better.... )

tools -

actually I find the intelligent tool selection quite clumsy.. trying to edit fades keep getting stretch tool etc... all those should be manual if you prefer it that way...

Oh yes... please.

Unfortunately, I think DP is the only major DAW that does not allow for delay compensation on hard audio outputs and recording back. I really think they have the technology for this if their new phase plugin can calculate and compensation on a sample basis for changes.

The ability to resize in width the columns in the left part of the track list.
(With some plugins' names the input column becomes very large, and we really don't need to see all this text)

+1!

Also, I'd like to see each attribute in its own column, not conjoined to other attributes' columns. For example, I'd love to be able to group the Play column next to the Record and Monitor columns, in the order I choose. Why do they need to be grouped with Output and Input labels? Move, Color, and the little meter each have their own columns. Why not Play and Record? I'd like to be able to compress the TO left-hand column down to Move, Meter, Color, Track name, Play, Record, and Monitor. I don't need to be looking at routing info until I want to.

We could perhaps do a searchable database of things like that. Wishlist, DP tips, free plug-ins (mind you KVR has already than a good job on that so perhaps skip that...) any coding gurus in our midst? :)

I don't know if I have understood well what you mean, but you can rearrange the columns order as you want just dragging horizontally their names.

Try dragging them in the order I specified.
