And Bob's your uncle. Thanks for this little report!Bennie Sims wrote:So far this thing is working great for me. It only bridges VST but I talked to the developer and he hopes to introduce a version for AU in the near future. It is a separate app that converts or bridges selected or all VST plugins from your library to work in DP8 in 64 bit. Once it scans your VST's they will appear in your plugin menu in the Audio Plugins preference of DP 8. You then select the ones you want to use and it will scan them just like the MAS to AU scan has always worked in previous versions of DP. Pretty simple!!

Re: 32 bit plug in bridge for DP 8
It works very similarly like the bridge in Logic Pro 9. It ,so far, works fine. It is a simple process!! The UAD plugins work the same way in Logic Pro. I work in a studio from time to time that uses Logic in 64 bit and the UAD plugs are used in by the same built in bridge process. Therefore, I believe that this JBridge will work for the UAD in Dp8. Try it can't hurt. There is a demo.dix wrote:Yes, something about the concept seems like it will be a kludgy mess, but maybe not. Give it a try and let us know how/what it does. I'm curios if it can bridge to uad plugins.

This should also give us a chance to compare VST to AU sonically.

Re: 32 bit plug in bridge for DP 8
Is there an AU bridge? I have used Sunflower to bridge Garage Band is it easy to use to bridge AU"s? Reason has always been on a bridge and run out side of DP, will any thing be different there? Any one having luck running MX4? I went to Toontrack and saw both SD2 and EZD can run in 64 bits, I use SD2 all the time so this is good news.

I just saw DP8 has rewire in it so I would think yes on Reason.

Re: 32 bit plug in bridge for DP 8
Argh. Bob's not your uncle after all. The JbridgeM seems fine with SoundToys, but crashes with my UAD-1 plugins. Is anyone using JbridgeM with UAD-1 plugins successfully? …if so what version (of the ua plugins)? thx!dix wrote:And Bob's again your uncle! Thanks! VEPro 5 works great as a bridge. Forget JBridge, get VEPro 5. You won't

Re: 32 bit plug in bridge for DP 8
Man, I wish I knew about this issue before I rushed out and bought DP8.
I'm either gonna have to go out and get VE Pro 5 or wait to see if MOTU puts a bridge in DP8.

Re: 32 bit plug in bridge for DP 8
It is great!! Except the input channel option so that you can use a plug like lexicon in 32 bit works terribly and is unusable. So I am still stuck with that issue until the 64 bit version shows up. Therefore I can only use the 32 bit verson of DP 8. How disappointing that MOTU didn't build a simple bridge in DP like Logic Pro did. And in Logic Pro the bridge works perfectly. But, I Hate Logic Pro!!!!David Polich wrote:VEPro 5 works great as a bridge. Forget JBridge, get VEPro 5. You won't
