Hi , longtime that I haven't post around , 7,24 have been so stable
I have a situation : on my Macbook pro , I changed my DVD drive for a HDD , CCC'ed my disk to the new HDD and DP is asking for the CD for authorizing (of course) but the problem is that I don't have a CD drive anymore !!!!!!
I tried to search for such thread to no avail , If there is , please post a link.
I tried to boot my macpro in Target mode and DP don't accept my CD from the other CPU.
Will a USB CD/DVD drive work ?

Wow, I would have suggested target mode. I'd be guessing to answer but what the hey... I think if the DVD drive is attached, it should work for the authorization. I suppose you might make a DMG of the DP DVD and pop that into a flash drive as another idea. Otherwise, borrow, buy, or steal a DVD drive and I'd be surprised if you weren't up and running again.
