rMBP and DP 7.24 graphics

Post by PJ »

Is anyone using a new retina MBP with Digital Performer 7.24. How does DP's graphics look? I've heard some problems with 'non retina ready' softwares. If using native retina resolution, is DP's objects too small?

Got an R-MBP and DP 7.24 and everything looks the same to me as on my 2009 MBP. I didn't do anything to the settings and DP is the same size and resolution.

On some apps that are supporting the higher resolution, the screen fonts and images look more focused and really nice. But for most things, it looks the same.

The only snag I hit since updating both my computer and to 10.8 was the DP would hang during launch because of some older MIDI drivers. I updated them and was back up & running.
M1 MBP; OS 15.3, FF800, DP 11.33, PC3K7, K2661, iPad6, Godin XTSA (w/ SY-1000), 2 Ibanez 5-string basses (1 fretted, 1 fretless), FX galore

Good to hear. My problem is that DP 7.24 needs Waves 8 and Mountain Lion needs version 9. I would like to use rMBP with ML, not so big fan of Lion (still have SL in my second Mac). Maybe I'll just wait DP8 and then jump to retina Mac. Waiting is so difficult.
Or is anyone tested Waves V8 with Mountain Lion?

EDIT: DP 7.24 / ML / Waves 8
Just spend my free day with Mountain Lion. I made a clean ML install (separated hd), made a new DP 7.0>7.24 + Waves 8 install. Conclusion: last few hours DP has worked like charm! No single crash or any other problems. Uh.. don't always trust google or Waves tech. Maybe I have to test more, but now everything feels (too) good.
