Hi there,
I recently bought a second hand motu 828 and it works great! One thing that's grating on me though is that when listening to my iTunes, the songs make little popping sounds, maybe every 5-10 seconds. iTunes is the only program where the audio does this (I also use Sonar X1 Producer [x64], Adobe Audition 3.0 and 5.5, and general internet usage, and never hear skips/pops like this). Is there some way for me to fix this up? I'm wondering if it has something to do with the sample rate, as when I've left it at 48k after doing recording work, the skips are really bad, and then when I go back to 44.1 it's better, but they're still there. Anyway, here are my system specs:
Intel Core2 Duo CPU, E6550 @ 2.33 GHz
8GB RAM
4.5 TB HDD
Windows 7 64 bit
Would love some help!
cheers,
Adam

Re: motu 828 mk II, iTunes pops/skips
Okay, nobody has piped up yet, but I have some more information as I've been using my system during the week.
The skips and pops aren't specific to iTunes; I hear them when any program is running besides my DAWs. Anything using ASIO or WDM has flawless playback, but things like movie players (I use WMP or VLC media player), iTunes, youtube, vimeo, winamp and more all have little digital glitches popping up every 5-15 seconds. It's driving me insane! I have the clock set to 44.1 when not using my DAWs. Any help would be most appreciated!
cheers,
Adam
