strange behavior new 838 Mk3 Hybrid

GOOD DAY ALL

I have just bought a brand new 828 Mk3 H to complement my 828Mk2 and I'm having a few problems or misunderstandings getting it to work correctly.

I am passing the output of windows through the 828 Mk3 to ADAT out (ADAT A 1/2) which is routed to a Adat mixer and returns back to the 828 mk3 ADAT A input 3/4 and then back to the computer. However, Even before I connect the ADAT cables I see In CueMix the bar meter active in the output meter for ADAT A 1/2.

Once I set the mixer up I see output activity for ADAT 1/2 and 3/4. I know ADAT In Out channels are suppose to be diferent so in theory I should be able to route 8 out and 8 in Not 4 out and 4 back


Secondly The monitor does not work. In the control panel it is routed to Main 1/2, Cuemix is setup the same. but there is nothing comming out. selecting the monitor active in the output shows the dancing meter working but no sound out.

I can create a new mix and route things direct to main 1/2 but then the volume knob on the front panel is bypassed.
