I wonder if the minimal "upgrades" and the dismissal of incorporating the new technologies, as mentioned above, and (probably) resulting slow sales will just give Apple a "legitimate" reason to discontinue Mac Pro production.
Hope not...such an elegant machine.

Pros are gonna be disappointed, not buy too many, and Mac will get bummed out about sales and it will become a self fulfilling prophecy, started by rumor, added to by lack luster product, and reinforced in a loop of mediocrity.
But if I am not mistaken, isn;t it a lot cheaper now to have a 12 core? How much did the previous versions of 12 core cost? What is the net savings for this versions 12 core if any?
