You know how it goes her, it starts out with something related and travels from there. This just shows our interests and enthusiasm in things related to music; well every thing else also.

I will be doing it as soon as I can just for the 64 bits, all the rest is a bonus to me.

DP7.24 is fantastic... however, if 8 seduces me & works well with SL i'll probably jump on it after a couple updates. But it would need something like a nice transient designer on par with MWeq or something else i"m considering buying anyway. Not more guitar stompbox sims that i never use.

I got enough power, and $200 for workflow enhancements makes no sense since i could dig into 7 and learn more speed anyway. It's MBP7,1 and 10.6.8 for as long as possible here, feels good...I am going to sit out Lion. The next 2-3 years in SL will allow me to focus on the music with a minimum of needing to keep up with the computer industry... and probably help save $ due to stuff coming out eventually non-compatible with SL. The Post-Lion world is the next time i jump on the tech merry-go-round. Got a few logs to throw on the fire yet.
DP7.24, MacbookPro7.1, (C2D, 2.4GHz, 1 Processor, 8GB Memory, Bus Speed 1.07, L2 Cache 3Mb,) SnowLeopard, FireFace 800, MCU, MidiSport4x4, LaCie d2 HDs using FW800, SitecomUSB2.0 powered hub, Casio Privia PX-310 electric piano.

I promise to see what's in DP 8 before I start on DP 9. But then it's fair game.

Then there is the camp that just wants to save money by waiting to upgrade. That's like waiting to die until you eat so you won't gain weight or spend too much on food. LOL!

Or the camp that never gets a new Mac because there's always another coming that will make it obsolete.

I'll sit back and let the smoke clear first. I usually come on board at .02 or so, the earliest.

Y'all enjoy the opening turbulences!
