Waves Musicians Bundle II is an incredible bargain. You get Renaissance Comp, Renaissance Vox, Renaissance Axx, Renaissance EQ, Doubler and SuperTap Delay. Even if Waves was selling the two first only at this price, it would be a bargain. Ren Comp and Ren Vox are on every mix I do. For reverb, Altiverb is pretty hard to beat, altough the Powercore bundle is great too, especially for Classic Reverb and Megaverb. And denne is right, MOTU dynamics totally sucks. It would be great if they'll do a comp the quality of MW EQ.

Give me;

1. Altiverb
2. Sonalksis SV315 and SV515
3. PSP Vintage Warmer (...and Mixpack, and the 84 delay...)
4. Hydratone
5. elemental audio's Equim and Firium
6. apTrigga

...and I can mix and record most things happily. 1, 3 & 5 are my essentials.
Regards,
Carl.

I'd say get vintage warmer then go from there. With the exception of DP's compressor all it's plug ins are very functional and usefull. You can't go wrong with pluggo to f&*ck S&^t up and have some other VIs _BUT_ it likes to crash and is a resource hog. The waves ren max bundle is a really really good meat and potatoes no-brainer set of plugs. Altiverb is awesome if you got the cash.
