I'm hopping someone tell me how to fix this!!
I've recently moved from DP3 to DP4.12
basically when i mute or un-mute a track while playing,
the whole track goes silent for to 2-3 seconds
is there something i can edit to fix this
this never happened in DP3..
please help .. its driving me crazy
set up
G4 Powerbook 1.67
osx 10.3.9
ram 2Gb
soundcard -MOTU traveller

It sounds like maybe - Setup/Automation Setup/Mute Frees System Resources - is checked.

That feature is great when you are mastering. Generally you are working with one stereo track at a time.
When you have a bunch of UAD1 plugs and the CPU begins to labour it's a life saver.
I have tried using it on multitrack mixes and I don't get glitches in 4.6 but for some reason the mix changes when you do that.
Can't figure it out so i generally leave it off.
