HELP??!?!?!?!?
I recently bought an 8pre to use with Cakewalk PE 8.5. I can't get anything to work so I'll start with my first question.
The system and Cakewalk both recognize that the 8pre is installed.
When I open CueMix and adjust anything, within a couple of seconds it resets itself to where it was.
I have always been good with computers, but I have about 20 hours into this setup and I'm ready to throw something through the wall!!!
I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. The 8pre is running through a FW PCI card wit TI drivers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Re: 8pre Cue Mix
I had it working and was thrilled.
Then I had to reboot and now it doesn't work again.
What am I missing?

Re: 8pre Cue Mix
I don't have the 8pre, but in Sonar which audio drivers are you selecting? Which one's are active in Cue Mix?
Re: 8pre Cue Mix
I'm using the ASIO drivers.
I have no way to tell what driver CueMix is set to use.

Re: 8pre Cue Mix
Hey, just wondering if you found a solution to this problem, I seem to have it as well...
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: 8pre Cue Mix
Bit of an old thread resurrect? I've seen this trick help out FireWire devices in general (including audio interfaces). Maybe worth shot? I would turn off any FW gear before attempting the swap.
