Hi Guys,
Whenever I hold the button to switch off the AE, it cycles through it's '3,2,1' countdown and switches off.
After about 2 seconds, it comes back on again. This is with either firewire or USB.
Any suggestions?

Re: Audio Express Will Not Stay OFF, Comes on by itself
My buddy ran into this "problem" with his audio express and contacted MOTU after a few hours of
. Believe it or not there is an easter-egg feature that allows auto power-on. I'd never use it but can imagine it would make sense in some setups.
From memory, you boot up in firmware update (I think you press/hold the first TRIM button, again this is from my distant memory otherwise I would test it).
Anyway, you should see an UP arrow on the LEDs when you do it right. Next, try pressing/clicking the SPDIF knob. If done properly the LEDs should display an "N" briefly and then you can power off as normal.
Sorry I don't have more in-depth instructions but the moral is it ain't broke and maybe a MOTU techlink could get you all the goods.
